Taking in Chihuahuas

• We will not refuse ANY Chihuahua, regardless of age, health problems, or behavioral problems.

• We are a No-kill shelter. If your Chihuahua cannot be placed in a new home, for any reason, they will remain here. The Chihuahuas here, are spoiled. It will not be a miserable "dog pound" experience.

• We do not charge any fees to take your dog. However, any donations are greatly appreciated. Remember that donations are not always in the form of money. Beds, dishes, food, and other supplies are also appreciated.

• The animals will be spayed/neutered before being adopted out. The cost of the Spay/neuter will be included in the adoption fee.

• We are not here to judge you. In fact, we find it very responsible and brave, that you have made the decision to admit, that you cannot properly care for your Chihuahua. And, we applaud you for giving your Chihuahua a chance at a better life.

What we Require:

• The animal must be delivered to our facility. We do not pick-up.

• Any paper work, including health records and registry papers, must be included. If the animal has no paperwork, we will still take it. However, the more we have, the easier it is to re-home the dog.

• Any behavioral problems need to be made clear. (Again, we will not refuse the dog for any reason.) We need honest profiles, to be sure the new owners know what they are getting into.

• If the animal does not have current vaccines, please tell me up front. The animal will need to be quarantined, before it can go in with the other Chihuahuas. This will not delay your process, we can quarantine them here.
